Boys' first round

The boys' main draw of the Open Stade Français kicked off this Monday at La Faisanderie! Due to the heatwave, matches were played between 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM, resuming for a final round of matches at 7:00 PM.

On the sporting front, there were a few surprises. In the opening match of this 36th edition, top seed Rafael Papoian secured an easy 6-2, 6-1 victory over Frenchman Timo Monier Vinard. It was a mixed day for the French players, with seven eliminations, though there were also some great results—notably Clément Hugon’s 6-1, 6-3 win over the Slovakian second seed, Matteo Sanson. A second upset occurred in the match featuring Frenchman Loris Da Silva, who eliminated the fifth seed, Victor-Alexander Dobrescu, while dropping only three games. Also worth noting are the victories of French players Elyo Eyrignoux Raisin, Roméo Knoll Mintsa-Eya, Arthur Salafa, Enzo Pedrosa, and Nelson Rakotomahanina.
